1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 These Trading Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all transactions for logistics, courier, and freight transport services (“Services”) provided by A2Z LOGISTICS(“A TO Z NW LOGISTICS LTD,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a registered company in England and Wales (Company No. 15619785).
1.2 By placing an order for Services, you (“the Client,” “you,” “your”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. These Terms form a legally binding contract between you and A2Z Logistics.
1.3 We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. Any changes will be published on our website www.a2z-logistics.co.uk and apply to all future transactions.
2. ORDERING OUR SERVICES
2.1 Service Requests & Quotations:
- A service request is made when you submit an order via phone, email, online booking, or in person.
- All quotations are non-binding and valid for 30 days, unless otherwise stated.
2.2 Acceptance & Confirmation:
- A contract is formed only when we confirm your booking in writing (email or invoice).
- We reserve the right to reject any order for any reason.
2.3 Service Availability:
- Service availability is subject to vehicle and driver allocation.
- We do not guarantee service availability until confirmation is issued.
3. PRICING & PAYMENTS
3.1 Pricing Structure:
- Prices are calculated based on distance, weight, vehicle type, urgency, and additional service requirements.
- Rates may be fixed or subject to additional surcharges (e.g., waiting time, out-of-hours services, congestion/toll charges).
3.2 Payment Terms:
- Immediate payment is required for new customers (bank transfer, credit/debit card).
- Credit accounts may be available for approved business customers with agreed payment terms (e.g., 14, 30, or 60 days).
3.3 Late Payments & Penalties:
- Late payments may incur statutory interest at 8% plus the Bank of England base rate (per Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act 1998).
- We reserve the right to suspend services and take legal action for unpaid invoices.
3.4 Additional Charges:
- Waiting Time: First 30 minutes free, then £25 per hour (£12.50 per 30 mins).
- Out-of-Hours Service: A surcharge applies for collections/deliveries outside 06:00 – 20:00.
- Toll Roads & Congestion Charges: These will be added to the final invoice.
4. DELIVERY & PERFORMANCE OF SERVICES
4.1 Collection & Delivery:
- All collection and delivery timeframes are estimates and not guaranteed unless explicitly agreed in writing.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by traffic, road closures, weather conditions, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
4.2 Customer Responsibilities:
- The Client must provide accurate collection/delivery details and contact information.
- The Client must ensure that goods are properly packed, labeled, and ready for transport.
4.3 Proof of Delivery (POD):
- A signature upon delivery serves as conclusive proof that goods were delivered in satisfactory condition.
- If no one is available to accept delivery, we may return goods to the depot at your cost.
5. CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS & RETURNS
5.1 Cancellation Policy:
- Cancellations made before dispatch may be subject to a cancellation fee.
- If cancellation occurs after dispatch, full charges apply.
5.2 Refunds:
- Refunds are only issued if A2Z Logistics fails to provide services due to our own error or cancellation.
5.3 Undeliverable Shipments:
- If delivery is refused or cannot be completed, the Client is responsible for redelivery costs.
6. LIABILITY & INSURANCE
6.1 Goods in Transit Insurance:
- We provide Goods in Transit Insurance up to £50,000 per vehicle. Higher coverage must be requested in advance.
- Claims must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
6.2 Exclusions & Limitations:
- We are not liable for:
- Indirect or consequential losses (e.g., business loss, loss of profits).
- Perishable or fragile goods unless specially agreed.
- Delays caused by external factors (e.g., customs, weather, mechanical failure).
6.3 Client’s Responsibility:
- The Client must arrange additional insurance if required for high-value shipments.
- A2Z Logistics is not responsible for inadequate or incorrect packaging.
7. FORCE MAJEURE
We shall not be liable for delays or non-performance due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, war, government regulations, accidents, and severe weather conditions.
8. COMPLIANCE & REGULATORY OBLIGATIONS
8.1 UK & International Compliance:
- A2Z Logistics operates under the Road Traffic Act 1988, the Carriage of Goods by Road Act 1965, and UK Transport Regulations.
- Clients must comply with UK and international transport laws when using our services.
8.2 Restricted & Prohibited Items:
- The following are not acceptedfor transport without prior approval:
- Hazardous materials (chemicals, explosives, flammable items).
- Live animals.
- Illegal goods (drugs, counterfeit goods, stolen items).
Failure to disclose restricted/prohibited items will result in immediate contract termination.
9. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION
9.1 These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law.
9.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
9.3 If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full effect.

10.2 Complaint Resolution:
- We aim to resolve complaints within 14 days.
- If unresolved, disputes may be escalated to UK Trading Standards or an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider.
